Liturgy

Liturgy is at the heart of our community.  The Liturgy team meet every quarter to prepare for upcoming ceremonies: Advent, Nov. Remembrance Mass, Christmas, Lent, Easter, Children's Liturgies and Special Feast Days.

Ministers of the Eucharist

We have a very dedicated team of Eucharistic Ministers.  They  distribute Holy Communion at Masses on Sundays, Holy Days and week-days. They also bring Holy Communion to the house-bound and those in our local nursing homes.

Ministers of the Word

Our Ministers of the Word carry out a very important role in reading the sacred scriptures at mass on Sundays and other liturgical events.

 Upbeat

Currently we are fortunate to have two choirs and several soloists who sing at our liturgies.  Our long established Parish Choir, under the musical direction of Deirdre Hely, perform at the 10.45 a.m. Mass on Sunday.  

The Gospel Choir,under the musical direction of Denis Keane,  sing at 12.00 noon mass two Sundays in the month.  Lisa Collins sings at the 12noon mass on the alternate Sundays.  Sean Malone sings at the  7pm mass on Sunday evening. 

Collectors

We have a great team of Church Collectors who deliver the Quarterly Magazine to every house in the parish.  They also deliver Christmas and Easter Dues envelopes throughout the parish.

Finance

The Parish Finance Committee advise on the day-to-day expenditure of the Parish and plans finance for capital projects.

Spic & Span

Spic and Span Task Force is a voluntary group meet on Tuesday mornings and ensure the Church is kept looking beautiful at all times.

Art & Design

The weekly flower arrangements on the altar plus all the flower arrangements that adorn the Church on Feast Days and Special occasions are procured and arranged by Lorraine O'Brien and her team.

Fund Raising

The parish have an active fundraising group and also a Golf Committee who organise an annual Golf Classic which is held to raise funds for the Parish.

Bethany Support

The Bethany Bereavement Support Group is a voluntary parish based ministry of bereaved people whose aim is to support others on their grieving journey.

Maintenance

Responsible for the overall maintenance of the Church Buildings and Grounds.

Media & IT

Team of five parishioners prepare and produce the weekly Newsletter. Items for inclusion in the Sunday Newsletter should be left in the parish office by lunch-time on the previous Thursday.
