"...the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. To one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom, to another a message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, (...) All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he distributes them to each one, just as he determines..." - Corinthians 12

Family & Media Association
Alberione Media Centre, Newtownpark Avenue, Blackrock aims to promote respect by the media for Christian values, especially those relating to the family: to seek high standards of honesty, decency, fairness and truthfulness in the media; to promote effective dialogue between the media and the public; to promote public understanding of the functioning and power of the media, and to assess and enhance the value of the media to the individual, the family and the community.
Food Banks
The main distributor of food through food banks in the south of Ireland is the charity Crosscare based in Dublin. Crosscare has operated a food distribution warehouse since 1989 which has supplied food to charities such as St Vincent de Paul, Dublin Simon, Focus Ireland and its own centres for the homeless.
Hats for Homeless
Winter is very hard on the homeless that roam the streets by day and desperately try to keep warm by night. The Holiday season, when they are so alone with no family, no warm Christmas cheer from friends, is specially hard. Many only have faint childhood memories to fill their souls.
